2021 E53 Coupe Trunk Badge
Hello, I am new to this page but I have owned my E53 coupe since about March. I'm almost certain one time washing it this summer, I may have broke the Trunk button as whenever I am reversing and the badge opens up to have the camera come out and stays open even when I switch to drive and will not close, regardless of the camera closing. Any one seen any fixes for this?

That's the way it works from the factory. People often stop me to tell me the badge is loose, or trunk is open, but it tucks itself back flush in a little while.

No for some reason mine stays open after the first time it flicks up. It doesn't close on its own and I must do it myself when walking out the car after parking. Not sure of a fix to this.

Maybe the mechanism needs cleaning or lubrication
