2015 E350
Gas cap cover engine lite E350
I replaced the gas cap cover with an aftermarket one from Amazon. Since then, the engine light has stayed on. My shop said it was because a genuine MB cover is not being used. Is this true, and is there a work-around? 2015 E350.

Gas cap errors are usually triggered when the cap was left off or not seated, so your replacement cap is likely not sealing properly. Was the original cap causing errors, and why did you not replace it with a MB OE part?
