hello mbworld! i'm having my 1970 250c painted soon and had a few questions:

was the part of the body where the front license plate is bolted to originally painted body color or black/grey?

my paint guy notices that there is some sort of rhino coating (under paint) over this area as well as along the bottom of the sides of the car. is this correct and original?

any help would be appreciated. thanks!
