W114 questions

Newbie here. I've found a W114 I'm interested in but I want to ask a few questions first. There's a lot of Mercedes forums but I'm trying to figure out who has the most active forums for classic M-Bs. Is this it? Thanks!!

With all the HS on the internet your best bet is to goggle MB W114 forums and join them all---However if you are real smart you will also spend the 19 bucks and get a 24hr subscription to StarTek WIS put you VIN in and print your AO--especially the mixture info as those cars are very difficult to diagnose with out the factory specs and tools---that's where all the HS posts come in!!

That's good info...thanks! Unfortunately, even though I've seen the car, I forgot to take down the VIN. I'll do that next time I see it. It's a 280 with the M110. It's in good shape overall but I'm wondering if it's good enough to serve as a daily driver. I'm a little nervous about the carbs--I've only driven FI cars since the mid 80s. How are the carbs on these cars?
