I have a 1975 300D that has been my weekend driver for 3 years. It's not perfect, but straight and a good driver. I am considering selling it this spring. It is classic white with blue interior. Located eastern US.

currently driving 1983 300SD W126, my static display is a 1999 W210 E320 4Matic wagon,
Howdy, I have a 1976 300D same model to the one that was listed for sale, nowhere as beautiful. I'm glad to see there are others, I had purchased mine for parts to complete my 1974 230 automatic which I am concerned is a grey market car, I did not get a key with it and I am planning to use the steering column and steering lock from the 300D. I had the 230 running briefly and drove it forward and back about ten feet... steering lock. Your post makes me think I should get the 300D running and not the 230. Had you driven a 300D in the past or just admired the style? Respectfully thanks

I like both. The 230 will require more attention with tune-ups, maintenance and fuel injection care but they are comparable in economy and reliability
