Hi everyone. I wanted to ask what is the part called that holds the hood ornament base to the grille shell, and where can I purchase one? Part number? I believe it is a slotted sheet metal piece with a bend to it to hold tension.
i have an old grille shell I’m making into a wall hanger- don’t worry, it’s far too corroded to be reused.
Also- what holds the center mesh to the grille shell?
After some heavy digging, I found the part that holds the star to the grille and how it works. But, instead of purchasing the part, I made my own. I’m sure it’s not good for a road vehicle, it work for a wall hanger just fine. I thought I’d share for the edification of the community.
