I'm trying to find the colour code for a car that my father owned about fifty years ago. It's the same as the picture. I've seen a few pictures online of this colour, so it wasn't a once off. It's not Horizon blue - that's much pailer.

Look at tag under hood with stamped letters etc.
Code is on that plate

 

I would if I could go back fifty years in my time machine .
I only have some pictures of the car and have found a few pictures of the same color on the web.

 

OHhhh did not know....

There was a post on here somewhere under one of the car sections that showed paint colors and their names and code for many years..
IT could have went back to the 70's I forget

I think there may have been 2 of them... I remember reading them about 1-2 months ago or could be longer but definitely this year...

started with some cars that were GREEN. I think in the Coupe or SL section

None of those colours look right but that may be because the charts are old and faded.

Hi Tim. Thanks for that. I happened to find some blue vinyl that exactly matched the color in my photos so I ordered some and am happy with the results. I will post up a pic of the finished piece soon.

 

I didn't find the paint code but I was able to get paint mixed the same as a sample of vinyl that matched a photo ! This is made from aluminum, the lights have LEDs but aren't wired up yet.
