broken 1980 300d engine, what fits?

I just acquired a very decent 1980 300d non-turbo, auto trans.. The previous owner ran it low on oil and seized the engine. I'm looking for a used replacement engine.. I am told that if has a GM style AC unit (mine has)that and engine with the YORK type AC unit is tough to adapt to fit .. I guess my question is what years and what engines would be a relatively easy choice to fit?? All help appreciated...

I have a rusted 300TD, runs very good, good engine and transmission, could sell reasonable cheap, located in North Jersey if interested.
