92 300d heat up, front fans not working

my 92 300d has been running pretty hot and the front fans have not been working. i just bought this and the front 2 fans in front of the radiator have not been working since i got it. the previous owner did say he disconnected them sometimes in the winter. i cant get a hold of him, anyone know where to find the connection?

also, is it hard to replace the thermostat in these?

Its not so hard to do I think. Its easy and simple, you just have to follow the path of wiring from the fan and I bet changing of the thermostat of the Mercedes E class radiator would not be so tiring.

Hot wire the fans to make sure the fans work
there is arelay that powers the fans
I think there is a thermo switch at the radiator
good luck
