Do you recognize this diesel motor?
Supposedly out of a 300 D sedan. Now in a 300GD (g-wagen) I am looking at. Seller is not sure what motor the car is out of, only that it is a TD out of a sedan.

It looks like a 617.95x out of a W123 or W126. Federal version with that air cleaner.
You should be able to find the serial number on the block if you need to know more.

The Engine number is sort of at the top middle of the Engine Block on the side where the Fuel Injection Pump is. It is rigth at the separation of the Block and the Cylinder Head.
If there is a different number plate on the Engine somewhere it is most likely a Mercedes replacement Engine.
