1985 300D (California)

Hello all. I am the owner of a 1985 300D (CA) that I am in the process of restoring to as new as I can get it. My next trick is to replace the fresh air vacuum servo in the climate control system.
The good news is it is a cheap servo. The bad news is it is probably the hardest to get to. I have the part but I have no idea how to get the linkage off and remove/attach the new servo. All suggestions welcome and appreciated.
