2003 Honda Element and 1977 VW Van
Looking at a1985 300TD tonight
can you tell me what to look for? we have looked at a couple, rust buckets! this one seems very very nice. 2 owners (second on for 25 years) valve job in 2003, oil changes every 3000 miles. I know to look for rust and hydro system, and the basics (doors, windows, brake feel ) anything else? this is a 185,000 mile car 20,000 since valve job. asking 12500. thank you for your advice and feedback.

12500 seems a bit high but you can judge that for yourself, when driving make sure steering response is tight and not lose because its might need new steering box..obviously engine knocks..central locking, electric sunroof, fog lights..also checks if shocks/springs have ever been replaced..vacuum related stuff...thats all i can help out with..
