The rear interior light
-on when I open the rear hatch (press the knob)
-off when I raise the rear hatch
Shouldn't it be on when I open the rear hatch no matter the hatch angle?

Its the switch in the lock that is bad, had to change mine as it was doing the same thing. It is a real pain in the *** to get it out. Have to take everything out to get the lock out.
