Starter Wiring New Bosch Starter ?

Hello all..I replaced my starter with a New Bosch Starter but having trouble with the wiring. I have two large wires and one small white wire in the wiring harness. Do the two large wires connect together on the one starter stud ? Does the small white wire connect using the little screw ?

thanks for any helps...Jonathan

Well I must say you have an unusual Vietnam KD 123.153----the correct starter for your vehicle is a 003 151 07 01----that's easy, the wiring is contentious, nowhere could I find three wires. All I found is the two positive wires that go to the two prong solenoid and as you now one has a screw and the other has a nut---what the third wire is .
Because of the uniqueness of the car I would make friends with the dealer------that's about it as I can't spend any more time on the time consuming project

Thanks Plutoe:

sorry i I need to correct the number of wires

I have one wire from battery positive
I have one wire with the same size eyelet as the battery positive cable
i have one small wire with the small eyelet

So not including the battery positive cable I have 2 wires like you mention. Do I connect both the positive battery eyelet with the other wire with same eyelet size or the large post on the starter ?

thanks...Jonathan

Oh no...I just connected the one large wire and the battery positive wire, onto the large stud and connected battery and solenoid went pop ! Looking at the wiring diagram it shows the positive cable from battery and also the other one goes to the alternator connecting to the one large stud with nut, then the small wire connecting with a small screw

Did I screw this up because it all looks right according to the wiring diagram ? Thanks for any help

The good news is that you have the wiring diagram as I was not able to call the diagram in WIS as the car is a KD Vietnam---I am not suggesting anything as I do not have a diagram!!

Based on the VIN you posted, the MB documentation states the vehicle was assembled in Germany, then taken apart(KD=knocked down) shipped to S Vietnam and reassembled in S Vietnam. How it got to your country is anyones guess.
