1979 240D engine mount replacement question

Hey folks, I've got a new to me 79 240D with collapsed engine mounts. As I was trying to replace them I ran into an issue where I could remove both mounts, but there wasn't enough clearance to reinstall the new mount on the passenger side. I did the driver's side first.

I tried jacking the engine higher but the chassis seemed to rise as well. I heard that some older 240Ds have an engine stop somewhere near the tranny, but I couldn't find any info on what it looks like or where exactly it's located. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Did you unclip the fan shroud?

Yeah, turned out I had to unbolt the transmission mount also. Then the engine came up fine. Wasn't in my instructions. Now I know for next time.
