I’m picking up an old lady 1979 300cd tomorrow and while I’m good with oil and coolant replacement can someone advice what type of differential oil and how much is required for this car.
the car has 48.000km but it has been neglected for too long.
it needs TLC as some say and she is a running project.
always best to use what MB sez to avoid issues with compatibility with seals etc. One one of my 123's I used synthetic low vis from amsoil because I had it on hand. No seal leaks now after a year but going with oem is always the best. Put in new tranny oil and filter of course and drain the TC as well. while you're there check the driveshaft flex components, the center bearing etc. They are probably cracked.
