Antenna Fun '83 300TD Wagon..

Hey folks,

Got a working Hirsch antenna from a reputable dealer that's bench tested.

My big question - why am I getting +12V with the ignition off at pin 5 & 6? I'm getting +12V at pin 1 which is to be expected. But pin 5 & 6 shouldn't be +12V until the switch activates them. I pulled the switch out at the dash and I'm still getting +12V at pin 5 & 6. No idea.

On a possibly related note, I just blew my glow plug relay fuse. Possibly unrelated though because I'm still finding some dodgy stuff from PO's. There was a 40 A fuse in there, but it's supposed to be 80 A.

Help appreciated!

wiring from my w123 (pin 5&6 have the shorter wires)

SOLVED

SOLVED!

Glow plug fuse unrelated. P.O. put in a 40 A fuse, so it just wore out when flicking the ignition and glows to diagnose antenna.

Glass fuse behind stereo was blown. Replaced and everything works.Pin 1 (blue) +12v

Pin 2 (green/yellow) Trigger (+12-lifts antenna, no voltage-drops antenna)

Pin 3 (brown) Ground

Pin 4 NC - No Connection

Pin 5 (black) NC-Medium Extention, Jumper to Pin 6-Full Extension

Pin 6 (black) NC-Medium Extention, Jumper to Pin 5-Full Extension

Over and out.

Thanks for all the help!
