w123 280e surging revs when warm (after a stop)
Hi All... I have a 1984 280e. The car starts perfectly from cold every single time - Even if the car has been sitting for months. And it will drive without fault regardless of road speed or sitting in traffic etc.
However. If I stop the car for some reason (visiting a friend or calling in somewhere) the car will require two attempts to start the car. Once started it will run fine BUT if I pull up to a stop the car surges against the brakes. it stops surging if I put the car in neutral but then ticks over very lumpy almost as if it wants to stall (but never stalls).
Is this likely to be fuel or vacuum related?
its an Australian delivered Euro spec car if that makes any difference?
