Guess who got new tail lights???
Paid for them Mon. and they came today, very nice! I've been wanting clear rears for awhile now but didn't want to shell out the $250 to $320 for them. Then I see this KatMac guy on eBay with them for $200 "BIN" or starting bid of 149.00, got them for $149.00 + shipping, $159 total. Anyway, had a couple problems but nothing major. Right off the bat, thanks to Chris, I knew I was gonna have to use the weather striping from my old tails. I test fitted the new tails and sure enough..not that water tight. So I ripped off the striping and put my old, bigger thicker, striping around the lights. Pefect, no gaps. A little triming here and there, and .....voila!!
I would recommend these to anybody who's looking to buy some clear rears, just keep in mind the things I mentioned. Also, these do appear to be of a thinner plastic than OEM tails. Like I said just keep that in mind going into it.

Looks good tony! Told you the guy has fast shipping. Now are cars maybe wont look so much alike anymore. lol Have you always had that Trunk Filler panel behind the license plate!?! That's something Ive been thinking about getting.
Other than that, looks good. I could only imagine what fully smoked ones would look like.

hahaha no wonder there was slight confusion going on in that thread. Looks nice, I did think about getting it a few days about but the dealership said it would cost about 140. Then I would have to paint it. Too much work!

I like the top pic ALOT!!! I'd like it in just the white, not feeling the rainbow. Hook me up with one in white with those wheels. What are those anyway?
My skills aren't as good as Sean's but check it out...

Enzo, my Benzo
I don't dig it at all, but that's my opinion. Also have fun changing your brake light bulbs every 2 month. Red bulbs (which you WILL need) fade to pink then to orange within a few short months.
I'd smoke the bottom halves for uber-pimpness,, or red tint them so the white clear and red look super clean and contrast different than the 94-95 oem smoked & red
I took shop chopping liberty and modded it for ya![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Thanks Zorro!
I like the Red and White...not a big fan of the smoked look on white cars. Love them on dark color or black cars, though.
You aren't kidding about the bulbs LOL! I took care of that already, I put red gel caps on them this morning....they light up a nice bright red.
thanks for the pics!
Tony.
