No more ugly wheels topic in the section anymore. It's...making me depressed that you're looking at such hideous wheels.

My suggest would be just save up more money and invest in some high quality wheels. It'll be better in the long run. You really want chrome wheels on your benz?

Someone put Foose rims on a SL500. I'll have to search to find them. It was a black R230 on with some fence background. Pretty nice looking, but showed off the puny brakes too much.

I don't like chrome, and just recently I saw a 3-Series with some Foose rims. Didn't like them in person.

Personally I like the AMG monobocks II (polished) shiney like chrome without the headache of peeling later. Some will say that's boring and common, but I like to keep it simple and tight. I don't need no punk @ss wannabe gansta doing some "midnight shopping" on my car.

Don't let other opinions sway your interest. I've always felt your rims reflects your personality.

I think that last pic looks decent (lower your car if you throw those on). But the other rims you've posted recently looks like they belong on an SUV.

Newbie,

With Benzos go Class not Flash..Chrome rims don't go too well. If you want a little bling go chrome lips or polished lips. I agree with Chris save money for better rims. Rims make up almost 75% of the look of the car. If you go cheap rims that's the way your whole car will end up looking CHEAP !!. Another option is
go with some good replica AMG monos. Keep on looking on EBAY and the forum classifides you'll find some deals if you're patient.

Like I said you asked.... but jrmd01 and Cali are right, go with what YOU like not what everyone here feels is cool. Me, I'm in the majority on this one..."NO BLING", infact just had some decals made for my car that state my opinion. The only "bling" I like is on me, not my ride. Don't get me wrong a little...LITTLE chrome is cool here and there (grill, trim, exhuast tip, etc.) is cool. But that's me. Go for what you know.

P.S. I personally don't feel you have to spend a fortune on wheels, just as long as the look good and aren't poorly made. if you can find something you like along the lines of a replica wheel go for it.

i dont think there bling bling wheels, there not lexani's
or anything, there not made by a ****ty company, i bet
the rims are made with good quality, so i think im gonna have to
go with my gut here and slap a set of these on my car. I know
mono 2's look good ( i have some) but i dont want the safe choice
you know? i like the idea of no one having these rims on a 320 in
my city, it will be totally origonal. i think there pretty nice man
im excited to see them in person. Now no one get mad at me for wanting
or getting these please i just want to share with everyone.

Rim shopping will give you a few headaches alright. Just when you decide on a rim style, the lug pattern won't work. Just when you thing you find the "ONE" the offset won't work. I say, look for the rims that have a 5x112 pattern, and work your way from there. I was running 18x8 HP evo rims on my car. I was one of the first few in Miami to have them. I had plans on painting them blue to match my car, but I ended up selling the car. They weren't AMG's or Brabus, but I didn't feel like looking like everyone else. I also didn't want to spend som heap of money on wheels that can STILL BE STOLEN by anyone. Good price, good quality, and good looks, led me to my wheels. Remember, everyone on here is stating their opinion, we aren't the ones driving your car, and we CANT tell you what to do. Just make sure you get wheels that make you proud to pull your car up anywhere and give you that inner joy.

Newbie,

I understand your urge to be "original / unique". I was once young not too long ago and loved the "original / unique look". My taste has since changed and now I like the "subtle modified look".

As I mentioned on my previous post, I think those last rims you posted will look decent on your car. Don't worry about others getting mad at your post. This is an open forum with multiple personalities and "taste". The title of your post is "What do you think..." so you'll get people's opinion. That's what you wanted right? Good or bad, you have to keep an open mind and just go with what you feel is "right" for you. Opinions are just that opinions...take them for what they're worth. But so far I think every post has been honest and sincere. There has not been any malicious post.

BTW post some pic of the finished product.

well after a few sleeps and a few days at work with my boss trying to sell me on the idea of 18 chrome hammers i decided to open my mind and try to find another wheel witha big face monoblock style and ive found a rim that im completely happy with, the lussos made me question my decision and eventually ended that fantasy. But i made a new windows paint version of what the rims i want will look like, im very pleased. Tell me what you think, and yes i am looking for opinions, i just need to take them better i just hope to god there the right offset and bolt pattern. And mike, with 18X8 ( lowered??) did ur tires rub at all? i want 40 series tires, thats as small as im willing to go considering the road conditions in canada, F uckin winter! ok everyone check the pic and tell me what u think. Enjoy...

will these rims fit in a 19x8? with no mods needed? ill do most any mod that doesnt include cutting anything. Does anyone on here have 35 series tires? id like to know how the ride is on the 124. cause ive herd that i can fit 19's with 35 series tires , id really love to get the biggest wheels as possable, ill settle for 18's if i have to but 19's would be nice too, here is another picture of those rims on a lowered 124, not the same color but u get the jist. thanks everyone

Hey I have been having the same issues. I don't want to do what everyone else has done to their car. I for one have been looking at BBS LM & CH, RH Wheels ZW3 Technic & ZW4 Cuprad and Antera 343. They would all be in 18 inches, 8 in the front and 9 or 9.5 in the rear. All of this on a 2 inch drop with no rubbing issues, ofcourse I will roll the fenders & strech out the rear tire.
Once I get started I will keep everyone posted.

BTW I was thinking of 19 myself but the profile is too low for the NY/NJ streets. Keep in mind that with a 35 profile you will feel every small pebble on the road surface, you can do 225-35 19 all around. Keep in mind that rolling the fenders will be necessary.

Personally from what I heard and examined 19" wheels will not fit the W124 model. If anything 18 x 8 will be the perfect choice for any wheel. 18 x 8.5 will also be a good choice as well but thats pushing it and rolling the fender process will be put into place.

I don't know how you guys are going to manage to put 18 x 9.5 in the rear. If you had a E500 and what not would make more sense on why you would like to go wider.

Anyways, haven't you learned anything from all the wheels and tires topic you started and got replies on?

Fender rolling is a process in which one makes more clearance in the fender arches of a vehicle. Typically this process allows for the use of wider/taller tires without the rubbing that normally comes with wider/taller tires.

so chris 18x8 all around will be the best choice? and then i dont have to roll the fenders right? the rims come in 18x7.5 &8 . Do you guys think those wheels looks alot better? im very pleased, i slept on it and i still would like them so ill go with those as my final answer( as long as the bolt pattern and offset is correct)

Well people say 18 x 7.5 is the best choice, but a lot of people roll on 18 x 8 with no problems what so ever. So that would be my decision on the wheel size. I plan on getting 18 x 8 wheels in a few months as well. Personally, the wheels you plan to get aren't my cup of tea but it's your car and style so props to you. 5 x 112 bolt pattern. what offset are you getting? Do you know what size tires you plan to get asl well?
