Car Tripping Out, Help Please!!!!
well, my benz is starting to worry me. Its been blowing cold as hell air out of the vents and i always keep it on max heat. it only gets warm when my foot is heavy, so if im in traffic or doin the speed limit its super super cold. ANd to top it off, as soon as i get in my car and start it, the temp guage is at the lowest and when ive been driving for 3 mins its past the 120 mark and the red line, accompanying ( spelling sry) this temp thing is the sound of boiling water from what sounds like right under the bottom of my windsheild. when im not putting my foot on the gas it makes the boiling noise, when i hit the gas a lil bit it stops until i lay off, What the hell is wrong with my car basicly? im getting a bunch of things done to it on friday, but i mean, should i even drive it? i dont want to blow anything if that temp guage is correct and im running that hot in winter time ( wtf) anyway i hope some one knows what this is from and i hope it isnt to much to fix, i need to smoke a cannon now to easy my worries.. wish me luck.. thanks

i changed my thermostat today and that got coolent running into the rad but now im still leaking something and the boiling is still there, im overheating.. wethink its the water pump, ive got it parked for a few days.. poor benzie

If you hear a boiling sound under the windshield and a leak is present, it is possible the heater core is leaking, though this is unlikely. Is the circulator pump for the heater functioning? What about the mono valve? Both these devices need to be in order for the cabin heat to work. If the water pump is original you should replace it anyway; they do not last forever. Same goes for the radiator.
