Question Trunk Drain?

I took out my spare tire and rim from the trunk yesterday and noticed that there was a plug that popped out from the floor underneath the spare. It is rubber and has holes in it. Is there supposed to be something else covering it? I put the plug back in the hole and it is snug. Please let me know if I am missing a cover for the floor or something

Thanks

D

Last time I cleaned out my spare tire compartment, it looked exactly how yours looks. description wise. So I guess you're okay.

Most "practical" car makers place trunk drains in their vehicles. Its supposed to be a helpful feature incases where the trunk seal wears out and the trunk fills w/ rain water.

Thanks guys,

I was kinda worried about having an exterior hole to the outside from the bottom of the trunk (tiny holes albeit). Well, I guess I learned something new about the car.
