Lorinser wheel kit?

Found a great deal on a set of RS1's from CEC but they're telling me I need a "Mounting Kit" for the wheels, which the rep described to me as spacers and lug bolts. He said that all Lorinser wheels need this. I'm fine with this except that each kit is $100....and I need FOUR kits. Anybody have Lorinser wheels and explain to me if I do in fact need this kit and is there any alternative kit.

Usually you only need spacers if you're running a wrong offset. CEC has great stuff, but they're also big time "bank"

Hit up Sander at TWS about this, and see what deals he can hook you up with on rims.

this is true about the wheel adapter kit, i had to buy one for each wheel when i bought my LM5's for my clk. then after a year me and my friend tried putting them on his w211 E500 and the lugs werent compatible. we called up CEC and had to pay $100 per wheel and the kit came with the same spacer that was already on my LM5's and 5 new lugs. paid $400 for 20 lugs, crazy no?

heres some pics from when i was trying to sell the extra spacers:

bklynbenz,

thanks for the explanation. here's the question now though: the lorinser wheels are listed as 18x8 et38 on the cec spec sheet. with the w124, ill need to run somewhere along the lines of 35-38ish offset for 8" wide wheels. if i'm going to get the lorinser spacers for the rs1's, what thickness spacer will i need to get? 5mm? thnx
