What can you get for a 87' 260E (2.6 liter)? Is this kinda like how a JDM Type-R header is pretty much an aftermarket header on a factory vehicle?

Basicly it's from the factory but being euros they allow more free flow which gives you more hp/tq since emissions are less strick in germany.

Lets see i have headers for a W124 300E-24V M104 and i know i have some more let me see and then me post pictures tomorrow; also i might b able to get you the eurolgihts let me see ! i'llet you guys know tomorrow with pics

I'm pretty sure there is no difference in the U.S. M103 manifolds vs. euro manifolds. The W126 V8 models have different manifolds but your pictures of these on bnzworld do not appear any different. M119 are same as well.

I didn't think there would be much of a difference.

I'm in the market of buying a new header though and then painting them with one of those special heat paints that's silver. My friend said to buy head wrap...but that's just another story. Anyone recommend anything?

To tell you the truth even if you paint your headers w/ high temp paint it will come off no matter how well you prep it. You could give it a try and they might come out looking nice. I'd look into what your buddy suggested w/ the header wraps.

Try Jet-Hot coating them in the silver color. This won't peel and flake. It will help reduce under-hood temps a bit.

Sounds good guys. EuroCoupe, I'll look into that Jet-Hot coating since it'll be silver. I'm just looking for ways to dress up my engine.

Does anyone know the average price of new headers and if the removal and installation is easy? I'd go for a performance header if there was any out there, but none that I know of sadly.

I shot my headers with header paint and then baked them in the oven, per instructions. This was two years ago and they still look brand new.

Any pictures of your headers dlafever?

I actually plan on painting the valve covers, intake cover and the likes all either blue or silver. Still debating.

If you are going to just paint them you'll save a lot more money picking them up from a dismantler. You could have them sand blasted before shooting it w/ hi temp primer and paint to remove any rust and dirt. Getting them off with hand tools will be difficult. You might need a breaker bar or some air tools.
