Exclamation a thud when shifting

hi

i own a 1991 300te 4matic with 85k mileson it. Ive had it for about 2 years now. when i got it i hear a thud when i shift from neutral to reverse my mechanic told me it was the flex disk that normally wears out at 70k miles and that its not that critical just annoying. now i hear a thud whenever i shift and its specially harder in the lower gears. my mechanic adjusted the torque and it helped a litle bit but still you can feel the thud through evry shift. i knowits not the tranny and another mechanic told me it might be the motor and tranny mounts. any ideas guys?

A wild guess: The clutch don't disengage fully. Had this problem in another car (Ford) and a clutch adjustment solved the problem.
