New Air Intake I found on Ebay

What do you guys think of this intake I found on ebay. I'm kind of skeptical to the performance it will provide. It seems all they did was move the filter element toward the corner to where the OEM "air scoop" originally was. I dunno, I just want to see what the rest of you think.

1) it wont fit the m104 motor
2) they sound nasty as hell in the drivers compartment
3) let the dirt fly in
4) where does the mass air flow sensor connect?
5) it wont give you jack in HP to the rear wheels so why bother
6) it doesnt come with a filter that is extra
7) how efficient is its air flow pickup

what is funny it is says the air pickup is cooler. i doubt it because it is mounted right next to the block. the stock one takes air from the foglight and headlight NOT next to the block.

its your money spend it how you like.

8) Your MAF sensor will be shot within days because of the dirt or oil spraying onto it.

Personally, the major reason I would not get it is because is isn't CARB approved. I don't want the smog guys giving me a hard time when I roll up to meet uncle sam's demands. I probably have more of a performance gain w/ my drop in K&N filter than with a mickey mouse intake like this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The germans have pretty well engineered all the hp you can get out of these engines. When you think about it, if there was another way of doing things that would give you more hp, better mileage and not damage the engine, they would have made it that way stock. These are great cars to drive, not so great to mod (engine wise)in my opinion. This is not like an old mustang with a six cylinder that you can drop a V-8 in or change the cam and instanlty pick up 150 hp. Just drive and enjoy. If you want more hp, take the $150 that intake costs and put it in your piggy bank until you can afford a 500E. (I have to admit the aftermarket intake does LOOK cooler than the stock though)
