Passenger Seat

So...Today my friend decided to play with my passenger seat buttons. She decided she wanted to raise the seat up so she did and now the seat is snuck and won't go down. The seat will go forward & back and it will recline up and down, but the seat itself will not go up or down. Any ideas gentleman?

That's exactly why I don't let peeps play around in my car. Too much can happen. Next time tell that chic she can play in the back seat if ya know what I mean ...lol

Check your door switch, more then likely that's it..

Damn it...

the Same exact **** happened to me with my dad trying to crush my best friends leggs while he was in the front seat.

now my seat is stuck all the way forward and my GF keeps telling me she feels like she's going to kiss the dashboard if I brake hard...that's going to be one sweet kiss!

To Cali: by switch, do you mean the one that is in the shape of the seat itself on the door?

Yes, try changing the seat switch on the door or lightly spray some electrical contact spray into the switch

The switch wa sthe first thing I mentioned... lol

Try some contact cleaner first. as ben said.

If not, ebay for the switch I think they retail at the dealer for like $80 or more!

Switch comes off easy. remove trim around door handle, and remove the ttwo screws holding in the switch. - Be very careful when you pry off the buttons on the switch!!! they can break easily!

I'll pick it up later. Should I just spray it all underneath the seat where all the motors are and perhaps where the switches are?

sounds like it could be the switch....

If you can get your hands on a working switch to try, then you would know for sure.

do you think the motor has frozen on the one side of your abraham? if so, easy way to test would be remove the seat and apply power direct to the motor. That would probably tell you if it is the switch, motor, or the control unit for the power seat.

damn. that sounds like a good idea Abraham, how are you going to put it down manually? No one really moves around my seat too so it would be cool to have it down low again.
