'86 300E - Need Help Mounting Trans Cooler
I want to mount a trans cooler before towing a small popup trailer on vacation in a couple of weeks, and I'm not sure of the best place to mount it.
The two units I'm looking at are from B&M Racing Products ( http://www.bmracing.com/noflash/index.html ) and measure 11"x4-1/2"x1-1/2" and 11"x5-3/4"x3/4". They also make one with a thermostatically controlled fan set for 165 f that could be mounted remotely from the airstream.
Does anyone have any helpful ideas as to where and how to mount it? I'm not sure what it comes with in terms of mounting hardware, but I imagine I'll have to improvise heavily.
Also, which is the ATF return line from the radiator, the top or the bottom?
Thanks,
Gary
