Would you buy this???
I'm a 190E driver (285K miles on the odometer) and would love to buy a diesel, Just found a 1995 special edition with 221K miles on the odometer. Is this insane or a bargin? How much would you pay, looking at KBB the price is 6500 or retail 8500. Pictures look great and the engine is pristine...looks can be decieving. The transmission was done at 190K.
So am I crazy or is this a bargin, I know MB's a legacy cars for mileage, will this go to 500K miles with regular maintainence .
please excuse my spelling!
-thanks

I rode in a W124 taxi (E250 diesel) in Singapore and it was running so well I couldn't believe the odometer had rolled back to zero and was then at 600,000 or so kilometers...
The MB tex interior was anything but worn. I was amazed..
Just have a mechanic look at the car before you buy it.
Good luck

high
In spite of its shape, sounds pricey with the miles and all....IMHO. That's not a bargain, not a whole lot of people are gonna be that venturous and purchase a car with that high a mileage on the odometer.
