Rev counter

The rev counter on my '94 E220T doesn't work. When the engine is switched off the needle flicks up slightly. Sometimes when driving the needle flickers then stops. Has anyone and ideas about the problem, or a solution?

there's a sensor that counts the revolutions wich is wired to the gauge. my best guess is that the sensor just died you may have to change it, its no big deal. if the engine runs fine there should be no problem.

It could be a bad solder joint too. I have heard of it needing to be resoldered.
