iPod integration with my 300D head unit

Has anyone successfully integrated an iPod with the Becker head unit in a '93 300D (or E)?

I know there are some adapter kits out there for the '94/'94 radios, have not found anything for the '93 and earlier.

I'm not interested in either the cassette or FM option...I've heard both and the sound quality is not acceptable to me. I'm looking for a hardwired solution...(without replacing the radio with an aftermarket unit...)

Thanks!

Lee

I think the only way is to go with an aftermarket head unit.

there was some talk at mercedeshop.com about using the cd changer wiring in some models of radios.

dont know if yours is an applicable one.

i have an iPod and the best way to make it work with the original head unit it to buy an iTrip wich gives you an FM frecuency so you can tune it up and listen your iPod tunes.

contact scott @ la Jolla Audio. they can probably wire an aux input into your factory radio.
