hi, i have '94 e320 wagon, when the abs system is activated, it is locking all four wheels until the vehicle comes to a complete stop. once the brackes lock you can even take your foot of the brake pedal and the wheels remain locked until the vehicle comes physically to a stand still. abs pump, computer and speed sensor have been replaced. any suggestions?

lots of cars
Well i've been driving without abs for the past year and i bought new sensors but im too lazy to install them.....Also i have a closet full of new parts but still too lazy....I think it feels better without ABS and i never locked up anything...If you want to drive without ABS just disconnect one of the sensors and that will disable it.....One of them is by the battery box....Oh and when you stop pump the brakes don't just floor them...That's my manual ABS lol!

Check w/ the guys who installed the parts you mentioned. If it wasn't a MB dealer I'd bring it to one and have them look. If all else fails I'd look into replacing the entire brake system. Look to see what one from a dismantler runs. Make sure that the car they're getting it from didn't have any brake issues. Good luck and be careful, those are brakes you're messing with.

hi, this is the owner of the car! i bought the car cheap, with the before mentioned problem. i went over the entire system again and found out, that once again the most basic things are overlooked and lead to a cost and work intensive endless trouble shooting! two brake lines were hooked up interchanged to the abs pump. it was done by a body shop when minor body work on the inner wheel house wer done. i changed them back and everthing is perfect again. thanks for all repies, oliver
