1994 E320 air pump trouble
hey guys,
I do have a 1994 E320 Wagon with 108K miles and the air/smog is making some wining noise from the air/smog pump. I think the bearing in the air pump is worn out. I went to the MBZ dealer around here to ask and the bearing is well over $500. Any ideas on where to get the complete air pump or kit for some 'reasonable' prices?? anyone?

Re-Build it
There is a pump re-builder in Las Vegas who I was able to purchase the carbon seals from...which is what wears out. Re-built it myself....I think he will sell the other parts or re-build the old one for you. Unfortunately I don't have the name...but Google "air pump re-builder" or "Mercedes air pumps" etc. You'll find him. Nice guy and very helpful.

The name of the company is C and M Hyds. The rebuild PS pumps and steering boxes along with smog pumps. Theys started out in San Diego and their names are Chris and Mark.

i got the air pump rebuilt by some guys in Calif for about $320 ( amazing coincidence) with a one year warranty on it.
