fact is an off topic post is an off topic post. theres no harm in calling it. and i will call it anytime someone has a defensive attitude about being told so. theres a reason why this site is organised into different sub forums; it keeps the forums clear from uneccesary clutter and makes searching for information easier.
this is supposed to go in the telematics forum or the W202 forum or the Off topic forum it has no place being here and the original poster knows it. in fact he posted here only because he wanted attention to his new toy, attention he probably wasnt gettin in the original thread that he linked to. wouldnt be the first time he's done that either.

perhaps you want to look at the thread originators second post and tell me where the acrimony begins. telling people to shut up is not nice. and telling people that "i can post whatever i want to in this forum" and not letting other people do the same is hypocrisy. i will call it everytime. there is no seniority system or rewards system here that garners exclusive rights and priviledges to certain people and not to others aside from moderators. its a democracy and the rules must be abidden by all.
i didnt call anybody names until i had been called names. unlike other people i will respond to that ***** in kind; and i will escalate it as i see fit. i will not be cowed or bullied or badgered into silence about about an action or circumstance when i have not done anything wrong.

i dont care who has met who or when or where or why. i dont care if they have children or pets or venereal disease. i dont care if they are the nicest guy, the hottest guy, the fall guy. i really dont care for the cirumstances in any way shape or form. this thread, this particular forum, is about 124s. there are other forums out there for other cars. for electronics. for off topic discussion.

i post here for the same reasons that everyone else does. theres a wealth of information to be had from a community, especially about a subject we are all passionate about, a subject that is as complicated as the 124.

but like all communities there are rules. and cliques. and those who are alphas. and those who are sheep. i dont have a herd of yes men. i dont have an agenda. i dont follow the alphas. i come here to do my own thing. i give advise as necessary when i can. i tell people to use the search function when they post redundant questions. i ask questions when i dont know something. i call people on thier bull*****. i dont take ***** from people either.

i dont have a know it all attitude. i dont pretend to know it all. i also dont cater to the lowest common denominator. this is why you will rarely find me posting in threads about wheels or appearance items.

you think im negative. boo hoo. i dont really care for your opinion. try to look at the content of my posts, the facts, the datum, rather than getting emotional. i dont instigate, but i will retaliate. ive done it before, i will do it again.

NOR-CAL

for the record, i own a 1990 300E. just because i have BMW 2002 in my signature doenst mean i dont own a 124. most of my questions are answered by using the search function. there are very very very few new topics as regards 124s that havent already been covered.

ill say it again, in case y'all didnt see it the first time i posted it. off topic.

plain and simple. cant be spelled out any clearer. if its in the wrong place and it really puts your panties in a wad bring it to the attention of a mod. no one can move but a mod. even if newbie wanted to move it he couldnt only a mod can. do you see a pattern?

i am pretty sure most of us dont care what your opinion is. i know i dont. i rarely if ever read what you post. look you just went on for pages about something i posted that is a one sentence answer. for us to take you serious and read your "datum" and "facts" you need to be a little less defensive and inflamatory and a bit more flexible.

on the contrary the original poster knows it shouldnt be here and he is the one who willingly posted. having been in other forums where stuff was just deleted because it was in the wrong place i felt it was proper to inform him so he can make better decisions in the future. it also makes newbies less likely to repeat the same mistake.

and here you are going on about me doing just that instead of doing so yourself. its still the wrong forum.
you can whinge and moan all you want to about me, i dont care. your opinion counts for just about squat. wrong forum.
