I have some crystal clear corners that I need to take apart and paint the inside reflector (Red) hopefully those will turn out well.
The other W124 pictured has probably the best HID retro I have ever seen. As a matter of fact, this guy has done some other incredible mods to his W124, his HID retro is what motivated me to do mine.
Here is his site http://kamran185.tripod.com/
Here is his Xenon install in English

the best W124 headlights i've ever seen ...
- they look so nice and so "original"

- i like your headlights 2PHAST ,but you can not put HID on this plastic cover .. it'll burn it.
- the http://kamran185.tripod.com guy is really CREATIVE ...
i do not know how did they do the grinding gob to the glass covers!!
he says:I had to send stock headlight glasses to Germany for grinding work (It took two months).

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
As for my headlights, there are no problems with using projectors in them, nor are there any heat realated issues, even after 6 hour of them being on, the plastic lenses are cool to the touch.
The warnings you saw were related to installing bare HID's into these headlights and is a statement being made by the seller, not by the manufacture, which, btw I contacted before I purchased mine.
These are cheap headlights though, no where near the quality of Bosch or Hella.

did the lights come with the projector mod or did you do it?
if you did it can you post a diy cause i really like them.

Both are well executed
thanks for sharing it. I'm going to look into it and perhaps buy another set of smoked Euro's for my car and use those to retrofit the bi-xenon's.
I'm looking to do the same thing for my 463, but then again, there aren't any aftermarket parts designed especially for the 463, so I'm stuck.
either way, impressive work guys.
