Radio Code

I tried to enter the code on my radio (with a low battery) and after 3 tries it said WAIT....how long do I have to WAIT before I can re-enter the code? I have a new battery so there shouldn't be a problem with low voltage.

The Owner's manual says after 3 tries, a 10 minute wait with the power on will allow you to re-enter the 4 digit code, if you screw up again, you will need to wait 24 hours with the power on. Please look at my earlier posts on radio codes.

Great...that makes sense. I haven't had power to it for 10 minutes...the battery is dead.

When I put in the code that was supplied by the dealer...it goes back to CODE...I entere the numbers again...it goes back to CODE...I enter the number AGAIN....then it says WAIT. Now I need to wait 24 hrs...what a pain!!! Is it possible to check the code with just the serial number?? I think the radio may have beed changed and I have the wrong code.

Brain, go to another dealer and see if he gives you the same code. I had the same problem and burnt out the radio taking a short cut. Please see my earlier posts.
