Exclamation Sound System Problem

I had a question regarding my 1991 300D 2.5 Turbo's sound system. When the radio (or tape deck) is played only the 2 speakers in the door and 1 speaker in the back (passenger's side) belts out a tune....the other speakers do not appear to be producing any sound (not even vibrations). Is this a problem with the electrical system? Or is it the speakers themselves? Lastly, could it be just the main radio+tape deck console? Thanks.

No, like I said, no vibrations (what sound is/how speakers produce sound) what-so-ever. No crackling, nothing.

if u have an extra car speaker lying around, or a voltmeter, hook it up to the terminals of the speakers that dont work. if u get a reading, or sound, then its the speakers. if you dont, its your wiring or head unit

I'm having similar problems, where the front speakers come in and out. If I turn up the juice enough, the right front will eventually produce sound, makes sort of a popping sound when it comes to life. My guess is a loose connection at the head unit or the speaker. Gonna start with a pair of new speakers up front anyway, so haven't traced it yet.
