w124 exhaust?
Hey everyone, i'm a new member but have been reading the forums for a while. My brother actually got me into it (My1stBenz).
So my question is about my 1990 300CE. I've already lowered it and tinted the windows, and now i'm looking around for an exhaust system. Any ideas? I've been looking at Remus and Borla but find their catback systems to be a bit expensive(~$600). Have any of you done custom installs on the w124's or have any advice?

Do you have any pictures of your ride? Also - what did you lower your car with?
Honestly, you get what you pay for these days when it comes to our cars. The way I think about it ... why settle for anything less - it's a mercedes. I'm still on a look out for a AMG exhaust for the W124. Although, I might be doing custom piping soon and removing the resonator with an Magnaflow muffler and tip - but then again - it would be nice to find a hook up somewhere and get an Eisenmann.
Then again - If you're on a budget ... I have a few friends who are running custom Magnaflow set ups and it sounds really nice on their rides. So you could go that route ....

Oh yes Eisenmann would be amazing. I completely agree with buying the best...for the best. Another concern i have with getting a muffler is having the tips appear to be far below the bumper and look out of place.
I'm thinking i'll end up doing a custom install with magnaflow like you said. I just want to be sure the sound of the muffler fits the car.
If anyone knows of websites that sell exhaust systems or mufflers for our cars, please post them!
