Well I observed how it functioned when I removed it from manifold and then reconnect so I could observe the flow rate and the like.
I observed that it stayed on a long time initially, maybe 10 to 15 seconds. Then on another occasion it stayed on only 1 or 2 seconds. This vehicle start fine sometimes but lately after it sits about 30 minutes if you try to start it, it's difficult. Seem like something is dumping fuel causing car to flood, at least that's my theory. Car is an 1992 300E.

the CSV should only stay ON for approx 3-5 sec when the car is very cold, say around freezing or less. As I said in your other thread check temperature sensors, it appears they deliver unsteady values, and this keeps changing the time for the CSV to open.
