Car Stalls when given gas
I have a 94 e320 and within the last couple of days I have been having starting problems. I will turn the key on and can hear the fuel pump pressurize the lines but when i turn the starter over it runs for a second then shuts down, once in a while it will run a little longer but extremly rough then stall, but sometimes if I let it sit for a while it will start and idle flawlessly and i can place it into gear but as soon as i give it gas it wants to die(it WILL die if i hold the gas down) it will idle and move itself at idle but I can not depress the gas without it dying, it did this a couple of days ago but it seemed to resolve itself, however this time it is not, even if i remove the battery cable over night. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you in advance! Chris

Thanks for the reply, Yes My check engine light just came on so Im off to get the codes to see what it may be, but I will try some gas treatment as someone else suggested that as well. Thanks again! Chris

Did you jump the car recently?
It may be your Overvoltage relay protector (OVP). Check behind the battery a silver square with a red top and a fuse inside. Check the fuse!

I found out the problem, my mass air meter was going bad, now its "done" had it rebuilt in Cali for 179. alot cheaper than MB cost of 380!!! Thanks for the help!!!
