Sunroof Question
Hey Guys,
The sunroof is struggling when I try to tilt (or flip) it up. It slides back seemingly fine but is very slow - at least at the beginning- when I try to tilt it up. Does it just need lubricated, cleaned? If so, what kind of grease and where?
It a '93 300TE.
Thanks.

I would try lubricating it first. use white lithium grease as far as I know.
Mine was a bit slow when I got my car and I put some of that grease on it, and it has been smooth ever since.

To help avoid the horror of dismantling & repairing the sunroof, I would advise everyone to lubricate the sunroof rails & any of its pivoting parts that are visiable. I use white lithium grease. Apply it to the rails & piviots. Wipe off excess. While you are at it put a little on the fuel hatch locking pin. Hate for that to get stuck. Oh, you will get it open, but it will make you late for work.
