power steering filter/fluid change
I was reading in the E Class Bible about performing the power steering service. It gave a fair amount of press or pages to the procedure. Any comments on how necessary it is? I'm a nut for maintainance and enjoy most of the services required as well as performing most of them myself. So I'm just curious about the power steering.

Power steering fluid is like any other automotive fluid, where wear particles accumulate in the fluid and the fluid itself degrades over time. Consensus among those that change the fluid is that it should be changed every 30K.
