engine oil dipstick fix
I may have ordered the lowest priced (I didn't use the word cheap) OEM part produced by Mercedes. My engine oil dipstick did not seat in the tube, it was loose due to the oil ring having shrunk from a lifetime of exposure to heat. Part number 006-997-26-45 seal ring cost $1.20 and now my dipstick fits snug.
Funny how the little things make an **** car owner happy.
