Serpentine Belt vs V-Belt vs Fan Belt

What are differences in these terminology? Are they refering to the same thing (V-Belt) on my W124 E220?

Thanks a lot for any inputs.

lots of cars
They are different in the way that a serpentine belt has many groves and powers all of your pulleys with a single belt. A v-belt is a single belt that is in the shape of a v and has no groves it may be used to power a single accessory.
