need quick help regarding a few things...please read.

here is what happened... i bought 4 new amg rims for my 87 260e, 3 went fine until we got to the right rear rim...after the mechanic attempted a few times to get the bolts off, i came back and saw he was really pissed...he had told me that 4 of the 5 bolt threads had been stripped...i was like wtf...this is where i need help now...they are going to compensate me money, but not 100 percent...i am assuming i need a new rotor, hub assembly and maybe wheel bearings correct?

here is the second thing ...i found someone in my area selling a whole 300e 1987 for 800 or take any parts for cash...so i was wondering if i could be helped by this guy ... he said car is great except for the water pump. could i take his hub assumbly and rotor and be ok? also i wanted to get his water temp sensor and wanted to know how to get at that...if his hub assembly is ok, how would i go about taking it out ... thanks a lot. a lot to digest but yesterday was a very bad day for me, considering i just got my car back and it is messed up again.

Damn bro, sorry to hear about your car woes wish there was a way to help you.

Hey, would you happen to know if this contact of yours happens to have (decent) foglight covers?? Mine are gone and I need them to pass inspection...

Temp sensor is going to be left of the valve cover at cylinder #5 or so. I believe you will need a deepsocket 19mm to get it out. Its the one with one connection on it.

For the bolts, wow, strange and unusual. The hub can be changed and you should be ok after that. Make sure to ask the parts car's owner if there was any humming in the rear or you may just end up having to do a wheel bearing as well.
