anyone know if it is possible to retro-fit the centre MB badge onto the wheel of my face-lifted W124?

Just like the one in the pic below..


My wheel looks like the one below. The pic is not mine. Just found it on eBay.

yes you can with double stick tape, the correct size badge, and a dremel to smooth out the center of it. I did this to my other 300e i had before.

 

wouldnt a metal badge be bad if the airbag ever came out?

 

I really think that the dealer probably sells it for earlier vehicles, I know my 116 had it and it was replaceable which means that you could source one out of plastic that wont stick in your forehead in case something happens.
