87 300e power seats not working

Both front and seats are not moving at all...im guessing its the switches but I dont want to jump it to anything..spend $$$ and replace the switches if there's a simple solution...If anybody knows a remedi for this situation please let me know.

I wrote up a very detailed tutorial on cleaning the seat switches on mercedesshop. Check the link below.

However, if neither of your seats are moving at all, this probably isn't the switch. If you can get the seat to move back but not forward, or recline but not bring the seat back up, etc, that's a good indicator that the switch is caked up with crud.

Did the seats slowly stop responding over time, or did they both just stop working suddenly? The motors on these things typically don't go out- they're basically bullet-proof. So it could be a fuse, also. Anyway, here's my tutorial:

actually i was in my car a little while ago and i heard the seat motor click when i hit 1 of the switches but only on the passenger side. When I bought the car the seats were already like that..the car has been in my possesion for about 3 weeks..but I will check ur article..Thank You
