How do I remove the center console?

I want to do some restoration work to my wood grain on the center console, ashtray, climate control - the entire center.

Any suggestions on how to remove these pieces?

1992 400E
Thanks

you have to pull out the carpet that goes under the center console, then once you pull it out there should be a screw. you can figure out the rest

You need to start with the storage box, there are two screws in the front of it. Once removed there is one screw under that cavity that holds the wood around the shifter. The center console has two screws on the left and the right just under the ashtray.

Talking restoring

Performance parts has a $300. set just tell them on the phone if you have heated seats or not...I also have taken my three pieces to my Mom's refinisher...He told me around $250ish I will keep you posted on the results..I mentioned if they came out well there might be some more work for him..He as I felt working with original stuff was better then buying after market..
