Agreed... This is a poorly proportioned grille for the 124. Each to his own though.

Also, buy the best quality one you can find - the ebay versions are typically very poorly constructed & flimsy. try performanceproducts.com

Mesh material you can get anywhere depending on what style you want. Typical mesh can be bought at HomeDepot. IMO there's better looking mesh out there do a web search you can find the Bentley or Jag mesh material for your grill. The rest is ezy take out your stock grill insert cut your mesh to fit JBweld it in . Remove the hood tongue, now use an instrument cluster removal tool or fashion your own to slide through the mesh inlets to hook onto your hood latch and that's waht you use from now on as your hood opener. The mesh grill will only look good on W124s that already have the sporty look like Alberts.

You guys are joking right? All that is is cut up strips of chrome door molding. The same kind that you can get a whole roll at Pep Boys or Kragen for $5. IMO that looks hella cheap...

I guess you may be able to get it from an auto parts store as calie320 said, but I'll look up the seller's name for you. I should be able to get some pics up tomorrow.

Hey NorCal124, how much was the grill and where did you get it? It looks great!

If you have the moolah, update your hood to one of a '94-'95 w124 and get a grill similar to the one above; s600?

It's a S600 style grill insert. I bought it off ebay, I think the sellers name was Katmac. He also sells a lot of euro head and tail lights. I paid around 50 bucks for it.

Oh, so it's just the plastic part that fits in behind the chrome? Cool. I seen that Katmac guy on ebay - he sells a lot of euro lights and stuff like that.

All that is is chrome door moulding, the kind people put on the edge of their doors so they don't ding their paint or other people's paint.
