There could be several reasons why your rubbing on turns and bumps. First, what is the width and offset of those wheels? Anything wider than 7.5 or 8 is pushing it, and you want the offset to be somewhere around 35-ish. Also, a 245 treadwidth is very wide for a w124. That might be your problem right there. I used to have 235's, and they rubbed all the time after I lowered my car. Switching to 215's fixed that.

Sorry, but asking for help with specifics and answering " but they're pretty wide" is kinda useless. Take off the wheel, look on the inside for the width, offset and size, and then maybe after you do some work, we'll try to help you.

lots of cars
First, those tires are too big 235 would be ok with the right offset....if you got the lorinser rs90 then they are 8-8.5 inch wide...also the offset on those are pretty low since those wheels weren't meant for the w124 more for the w126, w123, etc. those wheels come with offsets like 11mm 28mm and 32mm. I don't think these rims would work. You need to check the back of the wheel and check where is says ET. I know because i have a set of lorinser RS90 wheels that are collecting dust but i already have rims on my benz so i'll leave them as spares since the chrome is pretty bad.

It seems as though you maybe assumed that all wheels are the same. There are certain specifications that make wheels compatible with your car. The the offset of the wheels, the width of the whiles, the profile of the tires, and the width of the tires, just to name a few. You have to think this stuff through before you buy parts.

As Zorro said, you need to give us more numbers.

Take it to the old school and just take a wood bat to those fenders... Seriously though you need to either roll your fenders or get smaller width tires

Like i said i have RS90 wheels so im sure their 17x8 or 8.5 with a 32mm or 28mm offset. You will have the same problems that the people with AMG Hammer wheels have. Fender rolling could help but you need to look at the offset first.
